Privacy Policy — Network Scan: SSH & Tools

Network Scan: SSH & Tools (“the app”) is developed by SEM LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. In short: the app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app stores stays on your device.

Information we collect

None. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not operate a server that receives your data, and we do not sell or share information with anyone.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally on your iPhone so it can function. This data never leaves your device except where you explicitly direct it (for example, when you connect the SSH terminal to a server you choose):

• Scan results and history — the devices, IP addresses, open ports, and network labels discovered during your scans, kept so you can review recent scans.
• Saved SSH connections — the host names, addresses, ports, and usernames you choose to save.
• SSH credentials — if you choose to save a password or private key, it is stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device's security and (optionally) Face ID or Touch ID. Credentials are used only to connect to the servers you specify.
• Custom device names and app settings — stored in the app's local preferences.

You can remove this data at any time by clearing scan history, forgetting saved connections and credentials, or deleting the app.

Network activity

The app sends diagnostic requests only on the local network you are connected to and to the servers you explicitly ask it to reach:

• Local network discovery — Bonjour service browsing and local reachability probes (TCP checks, DNS lookups, SSDP discovery, HTTP/HTTPS banner requests) to identify devices you own or administer.
• SSH connections — encrypted connections to the specific servers you enter.

The app does not contact SEM LLC or any analytics or advertising service.

Permissions

• Local Network — required to discover and probe devices on your Wi-Fi or local network.
• Face ID / Touch ID — used only to unlock SSH credentials you chose to save in the Keychain.

Subscriptions

Optional Pro subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information; Apple's payment and privacy terms apply to purchases. Subscription status is provided to the app by Apple's StoreKit and is not shared with us.

Children

The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL.
